Brandi Kimball
Brandi is a lifelong athlete and lover of exercise, who started her journey playing softball as a child. Leveraging her energy and drive, she continued to excel at softball, ultimately playing at the Division 1 level at Illinois State University. When she wasn’t on the field or on a court of another sport, Brandi was active or exercising in some way, finding exercise to be a natural outlet.
She began teaching fitness classes almost 20 years ago and has loved every class since. After having twins, and wanting to get back in shape, she started taking classes at a YWCA. Because of her enthusiasm, they asked Brandi to join as an instructor, and this began her fitness career. Her first class was Les Mills Body Pump, over the years she received Mossa (formerly Body Training Systems) certifications in Group Power, Group Active, Group Step and Group Kick. Branching out, she also taught water and senior fitness classes. These experiences and successes inspired her, leading her to pursue becoming a personal trainer, and providing individuals a personalized approach to reach their goals.
Always wanting to better herself and challenger herself physically, she decided to become yoga certified after taking classes regularly for a few years. Becoming an instructor 4 years ago, Brandi has found sincere enjoyment in calming her mind and body and empowering others, regardless of fitness level, to do the same.
“My philosophy is you don’t have to be “bendy” or serene to do yoga, or for that matter, be fit to start working out! Anyone can practice yoga. Anyone can get benefits from exercise and being guided on their fitness journey. Everyone can and will get something different from personal training. There is no right or wrong, only fitness experiences and successes in life, love, and exercise!”
